The unexpected holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, including no-cost extra story content for Shadows players.

According to the authorized release, "A strange confrontation leads protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a original quest, where rumors of banned practices and terrifying metamorphoses resonate through the shadows." The storyline introduces a "strangely attired woman named Ada" who tasks the pair with journeying into the Gemstone Grotto—a key location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her friend from a clandestine cult.
