Fresh Information Surface Concerning the Finding of the Bodies of Rob and Michele Reiner Bodies

Recent details have emerged regarding the shocking deaths of acclaimed director Rob Reiner and photographer Michele Singer Reiner, whose bodies were located at their residence home on Sunday.

A Discovery

As detailed in an account referencing a person close to the family, a practitioner arriving for an session was the first to notice something was wrong after not being able to enter the home. The practitioner then got in touch with the couple's daughter, Romy Reiner, who lives nearby.

After gaining access to the residence, Romy found her father's body. It is said she then left the home distraught, not realizing at that moment that her mother's body was also present. A companion who had accompanied her promptly called 911. Subsequently, paramedics discovered Michele Singer Reiner's body.

Criminal Proceedings

Authorities have formally accused the couple's 32-year-old son, Nick Reiner, with two counts of murder in the first degree, as well as the charge related to a weapon, reportedly a knife. He is currently in custody without bail.

Clarifications

The person close to the family challenged several initial details. The source indicated that while Romy Reiner told emergency responders that her brother Nick lived in a guesthouse on the property, she did not point to him as a person of interest at that time.

The source also pushed back against published suggestions that Rob and Michele Singer Reiner had been particularly "concerned" about Nick's actions in recent weeks. Instead the family was "familiar with working through [Nick's] problems together."

This refutation also extends to descriptions of alleged "unpredictable" behavior by Nick at a party held by Conan O'Brien the evening prior to the discovery. While the source said they were unable to confirm whether Rob had "scolded" his son at the party, they said that reports of a "major confrontation" between the two were untrue.

Investigation Details

As stated by law enforcement sources, the medical examiner had still not confirmed at that point whether the Reiners died on Saturday evening or on Sunday. Some accounts indicated the state of their bodies suggested they had been deceased for a period of time.

Nick Reiner was taken into custody at around 9:30 p.m. on Sunday in the neighbourhood of Exposition Park, some 15 miles from the residence. He was scheduled to be arraigned on Tuesday, but his legal counsel, Alan Jackson, said his client had a medical issue and would not appear until Wednesday or later.
