Hazbin Hotel's Creator Has Seen Fans' Season 2 Predictions — With Some Positive Updates

The highly-awaited Season 2 of the musical adult cartoon Hazbin Hotel arrives on Prime Video soon, and fan speculation has been intense.

The first season presents a large cast of characters living within the afterlife, pits them against each other accompanied by songs about their clashes, and establishes tense rivalries and emotional bonds that drive audience devotion.

The community's expectations for the new season vary widely, but certain threads recur frequently: Could Angel Dust escape his tormentor? Might we learn more about the binding agreement affecting Alastor the Radio Demon? Might certain characters' relationships evolve?

"Obviously, I don't produce the show with audience demands as the main goal," the showrunner stated recently. "However I believe that me being a fan of my own show means there's a lot of it just naturally. I also want to see these things, and I want some of these things to occur, and clearly some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

She reveals her long-term vision is for a five-season run of Hazbin Hotel. Future installments have already been green-lit by Prime Video and A24, which produce the series.

That could imply viewers have to be patient for some of the biggest payoffs — but they may be surprised at how fast season 2 moves, and how much of what they're anticipating happens now.

"I feel like people are going to be highly satisfied," the creator notes. "We get some firsts. I think we receive some incredible reveals, some fascinating origin tales, and even basic elements, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] Audiences will experience much more singing from the previously silent cast members."

The creator is well-informed of the guesses and hopes about the upcoming season — especially in the form of fan bingo cards.

"I've come across a couple people make a prediction grid about season 2," she says. "Naturally I won't share it, but I've already completed a few items, and almost all of them have almost a bingo. I was like, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that leads me to believe we do a lot [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I was like, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that makes me happy."

Hazbin Hotel the second season launches on the streaming service on Oct. 29.
