Renowned Performer Pat Finn, a versatile actor, Recognized For Roles in Seinfeld and The Middle, Passes Away at Age 60.
US entertainer Pat Finn, who featured in iconic television series including "Friends", Seinfeld and The Middle, has succumbed at 60 years old.
The comedic improv actor died at home in LA this Monday following treatment for a cancer diagnosis beginning in 2022, as reported by reports.
"He considered no one a stranger - only friends he had yet to meet," his relatives stated in a announcement.
They noted that he had "embraced life completely - with joy and exuberance".
A Prolific Television Career
Finn's first television role was on the George Wendt Show in 1995, where he played the brother of the main character.
He was also seen in a repeating character on "Murphy Brown" from 1995 to 1997.
He played the part of the character Joe Mayo in the show Seinfeld in 1998, playing a social organizer famous for delegating burdensome jobs to his guests.
During the end of the 90s and start of the 2000s, he had guest spots on several hit series, such as:
- "King of Queens"
- Friends
- "That '70s Show"
- House
His most famous role for portraying the character Bill Norwood in The Middle, starring in eight seasons of the show over nearly a decade.
His cinematic roles encompass It's Complicated and "Santa Paws 2".
A Life in Improv
Outside of his acting parts, Finn was an improv performer and worked as a teacher at the University of Colorado, where he was a faculty member.
He was a member of a six-person improv troupe named Beer Shark Mice.
"Pat guided, supported, and advised numerous pupils throughout the years and it's nearly impossible to find anyone who has a bad thing to say about him," his family wrote.
In a tribute, fellow actor Richard Kind remarked there was "not a more kind, gentle, or funny, down to earth person you could encounter".
"Perpetually optimistic, helping you be funnier and better. An excellent dad and person," he posted publicly.
Pat Finn is remembered by his partner Donna, his three kids, and his family.
