The Streaming Giant Selects Ideal Performer for Mr. 2 in One Piece Season 3
The Secret Organization is set to exert significant influence in the forthcoming season on Netflix of One Piece, although the real showdown won’t unfold until season 3, and a beloved, audience-beloved member has now been chosen.
The platform declared recently that the talented performer will appear in the One Piece upcoming season’s lineup and will embody Mr. 2. The role can use their power to change into an identical duplicate of any person they’ve touched with their right hand. The actor, who is gender non-conforming and goes by they/them, will depict a rendition of that role reinterpreted as non-binary, instead of as a drag artist, in the live-action show, as in the source material and cartoon version.
This performer will work alongside a number of recently announced actors tasked with bringing the group to reality, including head Sir Crocodile, played by the seasoned performer, Sophia Anne Caruso as a key member, and a familiar face, who also joins the lineup as King Nefertari Cobra of the desert kingdom.
Though this character is a major member of the organization, the character will be introduced in One Piece the upcoming installment. With the next season expected to adapt the Little Garden segment, this represents a notable change in the placement of Bon Clay’s introduction, one that could indicate further changes to the plot development.
Their mix of precise humor and deep sensitivity makes them a standout choice for the part. In addition to their recent voice performance in the youth-focused cartoon movie Boys Go to Jupiter, they garnered significant recognition and numerous honors for penning and acting in the hit comedy play Oh Mary!, emphasizing the range they’ll bring to one of One Piece’s highly regarded figures.
Netflix's live-action One Piece series is due to premiere for its next installment on March 10, 2026.
